HOW TO SEND A PROPOSAL
• Proposals will be accepted by electronic means only (use specific online form)

• During the online submission process, you must fill in all the required text fields with the submission details - Fields that do NOT have an asterisk are OPTIONAL. You must also upload a file with all details included in order for the submission to be considered valid.
• The official language of presentation in the conference is English. All proposals must be in English.
• Each author may participate in the conference as a main author in a total of two presentations of any type. There is a limit of three presentations in which one can participate as a co-author.
• At least one author from each accepted submission will be required to make an early registration in order for their contribution to be included in the conference programme.
• Accepted proposals will be published in a book of abstracts (electronic format).

SUBMISSION TYPES
The conference will feature parallel oral presentations and poster presentations. We are inviting researchers to submit an Abstract (300-word maximum) on a topic related to the main conference theme: Understanding what works in blended families.
There will be the opportunity to publish a number of these papers in a special journal issue following the conference.
Duration: The time allocated for each oral presentation is 20 minutes followed by 5 minutes questions/discussion. There will be specific times scheduled in the programme for participants to view posters and interact with the authors.
The conference will feature a session of three parallel workshops. We invite and encourage established scholars and experienced practitioners to submit their proposal for organising a workshop on aspects of blended family life. Organisers are encouraged to include presentations from different countries. Proposals should contain the following information:
a. Workshop title
b. Workshop aim and learning outcomes
c. Description of the main themes and format of the workshop
d. Names, affiliations and contact details of workshop organisers/facilitators.
Workshops are usually addressed to a limited number of participants, to best serve their interactional feature. Please indicate the maximum number of participants.
Duration: Workshops will be allocated 90-120 minutes.
The Organising Committee may suggest a different duration or format for a submitted workshop during the review process.
The proposals received will be evaluated by independent reviewers based on the following elements according to their type of presentation:
• Relevance to the conference title and themes
• Quality with respect to to ideas grounded in scientific research and/or practice
• Innovation with respect to content ideas and/or progressive approaches
• Impact the proposed research/ideas are expected to have on the target audience
• Clarity with respect to the use of English
